Stock Market Results

One of the easiest tools to analyze stock market results is the Google Finance portal (finance.google.com).

One of the best features of that portal is the availability of charts about historical prices for all listed companies for which historical data is available.

By looking at those charts, and selecting different time frames, as well as by scrolling the chart, you can see how the market has performed for different time frames.

Here are how to find some of the overall market charts:

  • finance.google.com/finance?cid=983582 (DJIE)
  • finance.google.com/finance?cid=13756934 (NASDAQ)
  • finance.google.com/finance?cid=626307 (S&P 500)

On top of analyzing one index, you can add other indexes to the chart with the compare tool, and also compare individual stocks results over time to indexes.

To the right of the results chart is also a helpful section with news, which are tagged so that you can see where the news item happened and how the stock market potentially reacted to the news or other news that happened that day.
