real estate investment seminars

Real estate investment seminars offer a great way to network with other real estate investors and to educate yourself to be a better real estate investor.

The draw of any investment seminar is that they're many times populated by star speakers, many of whom have written books about real estate investments.

If you've read a book of such a speaker, the seminar may prove to be a great venue for all those unanswered questions (you can ask at least one of them at the Q&A session).

Not all are satisfied with the available seminars.

You should be vary of placing huge sums of money just to attend such a seminar.

Available Real Estate Investment Seminars

Some of the reasonably priced courses and seminars include (according to johntreed.com):

  • ccim.com/courses.htm
  • appraisalinstitute.org/education/

Of these, the Appraisal Institute is an international membership association of professional real estate appraisers, with more than 18,000 members and 99 chapters throughout the United States, Canada and abroad.

According to the Institute, they're the world’s largest publisher of real estate appraisal literature, offering a wide range of books and other materials on a variety of subjects ranging from basic valuation theory and techniques to advanced applications.

A Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) is an expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate.

The CCIM curriculum consists of four core courses: financial analysis, market analysis, user decision analysis, and investment analysis for commercial investment real estate.

Additional curriculum requirements may be completed through CCIM elective courses, transfer credit for graduate education or professional recognition, and qualifying non-CCIM education.
